1. Technology overview
Hino Systech Vietnam Co., Ltd. is the Hanoi-based subsidiary of Hino Systech Japan, a control systems company founded in 1950, and has operated in Vietnam since 2015. It supplies automation panels, SCADA, control centres and industrial IoT products to factories, solar plant owners and EPC contractors, and states more than 100 projects in Vietnam.
Its energy monitoring system combines smart meters, CT clamps and PT100 sensors, IoT and energy data collection boxes and the Hino Gateway 378 with the Hino OCC software. Data is collected every 1 to 15 minutes over Modbus TCP/IP and sent through 4G, LAN or WiFi. Hino OCC shows real-time dashboards, raises alerts by SMS, email and app, stores long-term history, exports ESG reports and connects to ERP or SCADA through REST/JSON APIs. A rooftop solar SCADA variant adds zero-export control and hybrid operation with diesel generators.
2. Highlighted features & specifications
- Data collection boxes: IoT and energy boxes read smart meters, CT clamps and PT100 sensors every 1 to 15 minutes.
- Hino Gateway 378: links site equipment to the control platform over 4G, LAN or WiFi.
- Hino OCC dashboards: real-time 24/7 monitoring with customisable views and long-term storage.
- Alerts and load management: SMS, email and app alerts plus peak tracking and shedding of non-essential loads.
- ESG and ISO 50001 reports: exportable energy and emissions reports for audits and buyers.
- Solar SCADA: zero-export control and diesel hybrid operation for rooftop solar plants.
3. Potential application
A garment or footwear exporter can meter each workshop and report emissions to brand customers. A factory with rooftop solar can connect its inverters to SCADA with zero-export control. An industrial park operator can integrate hundreds of legacy meters and devices into one monitoring centre.
4. Benefits
Factories see consumption by area and equipment and can find waste such as power drawn outside production hours; one garment plant found 30% of its electricity used outside working time. A large factory case is reported to save 779 million VND per year. Peak alerts and load shedding help avoid penalties. Exportable reports support ISO 50001 preparation and carbon reporting to buyers.
5. Market trends & opportunities
Electricity is a large share of operating cost for Vietnamese factories, and global buyers increasingly ask suppliers for carbon data. New rules on rooftop solar connection and monitoring, together with ISO 50001 and green manufacturing goals, are pushing industrial parks to install metering and remote monitoring systems.
6. Other information
Hino Systech Vietnam (tax code 0106948605) is headquartered in the PV Oil building, 148 Hoang Quoc Viet, Hanoi. Its parent Hino Systech Japan was founded in 1950. Reference projects include rooftop solar SCADA for Best Pacific Hai Duong and Sapporo Long An, line automation for Wistron Bac Ninh and an industrial gateway linking more than 200 legacy devices in Hai Phong.
