1. Technology overview
Lightmatter develops photonic interconnect technology for AI infrastructure. Its Passage product line, including the L200 and L20 and reference systems such as the M1000 EVK, uses co-packaged optics and an edgeless I/O architecture to scale bandwidth between chips for frontier model training, multimodal AI, reasoning models and large-scale inference. The company also offers Guide, a very large-scale photonics (VLSP) light engine that integrates many lasers and photonic components on a single chip as a light source for co-packaged optics.
2. Highlighted features & specifications
- Passage photonic interconnects with co-packaged optics (L200, L20)
- Edgeless I/O architecture for scaling chip-to-chip bandwidth
- M1000 rack-level 3D photonic interposer reference platform
