1. Technology overview
ROKAE Robotics was founded in 2015 in Beijing and develops collaborative, industrial and embodied intelligent robots. It targets auto parts, electronics, metal fabrication, healthcare and general industry, and has reported operations in 12 countries including Japan, Korea, Germany and France, backed by New Hope Group and Shenzhen Capital Group.
The xMate CR series offers payloads from 7 kg to 45 kg and reach from 988 mm to 2,246 mm, with the SR series covering 3 kg to 5 kg. The CR35, launched in 2025, reaches 45 kg and 2,246 mm with ±0.05 mm repeatability, a compact control cabinet and installation without floor anchoring. A TÜV-certified SIL3 safety controller, collision detection, virtual walls and safety zones allow work near people, while a wizard-based graphical interface and process packages for palletizing, photovoltaic handling and tray loading simplify programming.
2. Highlighted features & specifications
- xMate CR series: cobots from 7 to 45 kg payload and up to 2,246 mm reach.
- SR series: compact 3 to 5 kg cobots for light assembly and handling.
- Functional safety: SIL3 safety controller meeting ISO 13849-1 PL d Category 3.
- Safety zones: virtual walls and collision detection with stop or retreat responses.
- Wizard programming: graphical interface for operators without robot expertise.
- Process packages: palletizing, photovoltaic handling and tray loading.
3. Potential application
A solar module factory in Vietnam can use CR cobots for panel layout and handling. A feed, fertiliser or beverage plant can palletize heavy bags and cases with the CR35. An auto parts supplier can load trays and tend machines without permanent robot cells.
4. Benefits
A 45 kg payload with 2,246 mm reach lets a cobot take on palletizing and heavy handling that previously needed fenced industrial robots. The company states the CR35 is 50% lighter than comparable industrial models and needs no floor anchoring, easing relocation. Wizard-based programming and process packages reduce dependence on robot specialists.
5. Market trends & opportunities
Heavy-payload cobots are blurring the line between collaborative and industrial robots, opening palletizing and heavy handling to factories without space for fenced cells. Solar panel, electronics and construction machinery production in Asia is driving demand for such flexible, quickly redeployable robots.
6. Other information
