1. Technology overview
SEVIMA (PT Sentra Vidya Utama) was founded in 2003 in Surabaya, Indonesia, by seven students of Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember (ITS). It digitises the operations of higher-education institutions, which must manage academics, finance, quality assurance and mandatory reporting to the national higher-education database and accreditation bodies.
The SEVIMA Platform is a fully managed cloud suite: Siakad Cloud for academic information, EdLink as campus LMS, EduFin for education finance, quality-assurance modules for internal audits and accreditation, ProFeeder for automatic PDDikti reporting, KarirLink for career centres and tracer studies, plus outcome-based education modules. SEVIMA AI adds automatic semester learning plans, CBT exam question generation, deep-face biometric attendance in EdLink, an AI assistant on regulations, and graduation prediction developed with ITS. More than 1,300 institutions and 3 million active users are on the platform.
2. Highlighted features & specifications
- Siakad Cloud: integrated academic information system for enrolment, grades, schedules and student services.
- EdLink LMS: campus e-learning with SSO and biometric face attendance.
- EduFin: tuition billing, multi-bank payment reconciliation and financial reporting.
- Quality assurance: digital internal quality cycle, internal audits and accreditation instrument tracking.
- ProFeeder: automatic synchronisation of campus data with the national PDDikti database.
- SEVIMA AI: semester plan drafting, CBT question generation, regulatory assistant and graduation prediction.
3. Potential application
A private university in Vietnam can run academic administration, tuition billing and LMS on one cloud platform. A medical or vocational college can track accreditation evidence and outcome-based curricula. A university group can use AI graduation prediction to identify students at risk of dropping out.
4. Benefits
Cuts manual reporting work: users describe financial reports dropping from three hours to minutes and accreditation data compiled from one system. Removes the need for in-house servers and extra system administrators through a fully managed, auto-updated cloud. Keeps academic, finance and quality data synchronised with national reporting and accreditation requirements. Adds AI tools that save lecturers time on course plans and exam questions.
5. Market trends & opportunities
Universities in Southeast Asia are under pressure to meet accreditation, outcome-based education and national data-reporting rules while enrolment competition grows. Cloud campus management with built-in AI is replacing fragmented on-premise systems. Vietnamese universities face similar demands as the Ministry of Education and Training tightens accreditation and digital reporting.
6. Other information
Founded in 2003 in Surabaya by seven ITS students; operating for more than 22 years. Serves 1,300+ institutions with 3M+ active users and a 5,000+ member community.
