1. Technology overview

Wise Integration is a fabless company founded in 2020 as a spinoff of the CEA-Leti research institute in Grenoble, France. Headquartered in Hyeres, France, it develops digitally controlled gallium nitride (GaN) power ICs to make power converters smarter, more efficient and more compact, with a design centre in Ottawa, Canada, an R&D centre in Grenoble, a Hong Kong subsidiary and offices in Taiwan and South Korea.

Its offer combines WiseGan GaN power ICs for high-frequency designs with WiseWare digital controllers (WIW1001, WIW1101, WIW2101) that run proprietary real-time algorithms, such as fully digital GaN totem-pole PFC switching up to 2 MHz. Demo boards cover AC-DC platforms from 240 W to 7 kW. Customers are power supply makers for consumer chargers, data centres, industrial equipment, light e-mobility and automotive.

2. Highlighted features & specifications

  • WiseGan: GaN power ICs for high-frequency, high-efficiency converters.
  • WiseWare 1.1 (WIW1101): fully digital controller for GaN totem-pole PFC up to 2 MHz.
  • Controller family: WIW1001, WIW1101 and WIW2101 with proprietary real-time algorithms.
  • Demo boards: WiseWare-controlled AC-DC platforms from 240 W to 7 kW.
  • SiC support: 7 kW onboard charger demo board developed with Savoy International Group.
  • AI server power: 400 V to 48 V SMPS co-development for server racks.

3. Potential application

A power adapter maker in Vietnam can use WiseGan with WiseWare to design compact USB-C chargers. A data centre equipment supplier can develop 48 V server power units from the reference designs. An e-motorbike maker can evaluate the 7 kW onboard charger platform.

4. Benefits

Digital control lets power supply makers raise switching frequency to shrink magnetics and build lighter, more compact converters. Pairing GaN ICs with matched controllers shortens design time compared with assembling discrete parts. Ready demo boards from 240 W to 7 kW speed up evaluation. Firmware-based control allows tuning efficiency for different loads without hardware changes.

6. Other information

Founded in 2020 as a CEA-Leti spinoff, about 40 staff. Investors include imec, Super Nova Invest, BNP Paribas Developpement and Region Sud Invest. Hong Kong subsidiary Wise Integration Ltd. plus offices in Taipei and South Korea. Signed an MoU with Powernet and KEC in December 2025 and a collaboration with Navitas in September 2026. Ghislain Kaiser became CEO in September 2025.
